Primacur De-wormer Oral Liquid for Dogs, Cats & Horses (Fenben) 240ML (Flavored)

PRIMACUR (fenbendazole) Suspension 10% (100 mg/mL) FOR HORSES & CATTLE

If your horse is suffering from worms, PRIMACUR (fenbendazole) is designed to counteract the dangerous side effects of this serious parasitic infection. Wild animals (like feral cats, raccoons, opossums, skunks, and armadillos) are also susceptible to contracting worms. Parasitic worms are generally transferred via soil and infect the gastrointestinal tract, but horses will contract worms while grazing infected areas that have been contaminated. Cleanliness and sanitation of an equine’s food and water supply is an important step in preventing worm infections. If you suspect your horse may be infected with worms, you’ll want to work with your veterinarian to create a course of treatment, likely involving the use of PRIMACUR (fenbendazole) for horses.

Some of the more common symptoms of worms in horses are:

* Poor performance
* Poor attitude / irritability
* Enlarged belly
* Dull coat
* Episodes of colic

Worms are treatable, and, when present in low numbers, cause minimal problems. However, when present in moderate or larger numbers, they can severely affect our horses’ health and can result in poor body condition, colic and general ill health. If not caught quickly they can damage a horse’s intestines and other internal organs, often causing irreversible harm with potentially fatal consequences.

Warnings: Do not use in horses intended for human consumption. Cattle must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 8 days following treatment. For dairy cattle, there is no milk withdrawal period at the 5 mg/kg dose. Do not use at 10 mg/kg in dairy cattle. Dose rate of 10 mg/kg in dairy cattle could result in violative residues in milk. A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.

Primacur should be administered orally, and retreatment may be needed after 4 to 6 weeks if exposure to parasites continues.

CAUTION: Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
